FAQs
Q: Who are you guys and where are you located?
A:Radixweb is a decade old IT outsourcing company. We have our headquarters in Ahmedabad, India and a representative office in California, US.
Q: Do you have your own development centre or do you sub-contract projects?
A:Yes, we have our own development centre situated at Ahmedabad. As a matter of fact, it is a pretty high tech development facility established in 15,000 sqft area. The whole setup has substantial scope for further expansion. Under no circumstances do we sub-contract a project.
Q:What kind of development work do you undertake at this centre?
A: We have a lot of things going on at our Ahmedabad unit. We primarily carry out development work for web applications, desktop applications, mobile applications, and embedded and device driver solutions at this unit. We also offer enterprise integration services, cloud hosting, remote support, and application maintenance services from here.
Q: If I want to hire Dotnet developers from you, how do I do it?
A:Any kind of hiring process starts with you getting in touch with our sales representative. After the firsthand dialogue, our sales rep introduces our technical head. This technical head collects the technical details of your project to relate them to our resources. He then identifies the developers best suited for your needs and confirms their availability. After an agreement is reached upon the contractual terms, we issue a resource hiring contract for you to sign. Once you sign the agreement and we get the confirmation, we are all good to go.
Q:How much time does a .Net developer take to get started on my project once I sign the contract and clear the initial payment?
A:In usual practice it takes about 2 working days for a .Net developer to start working on your project. As soon as we receive your initial payment, we get your project registered with our accounts team. In the meantime we conduct a kickoff meeting with our project manager, technical heads, accounts head, and hired Dotnet developers. In this meeting the sales rep passes on the project details and requirements. We then introduce the developer to you in an introductory call where you can gauge his technical abilities. Once you are satisfied, the developer can start off on your project.
In case you have made the payment and need us to start working on your project without waiting for the actual receipt, you can mail us a scanned copy of the TT order and we can commence with the proceedings.
Q: What is a kickoff meeting?
A:Kickoff meeting is a formal meeting held between the sales rep that collected your project details, the technical lead, the project manager, and the developers identified for your project. In this meeting, the sales rep formally hands over the project to the hired team. Detailed discussions are held over the project requirements and each team member is briefed about his role. Minutes of this kickoff meeting are systematically documented and maintained.
Q: Since you are based in India, which language will your Dotnet developers use to communicate with me?
A:Our Dotnet developers are highly proficient with English and shall carry out all their communication with you in English.
Q: What shall be the tenure of my contract?

Q: If I hire a .Net developer from you, will he be dedicated to my project only?
A:Yes, the developer will be completely dedicated to your project. He will take on the role of your in-house employee and work full time for you.
Q: What payment mode do you accept for the hiring process?
A: We accept wire transfer payments.
Q: What will be my setup cost for the contract?
A: There will be no setup cost involved. We take care of all the paperwork and documentation at our end. You have to only pay the transfer charges and the agreed hiring charges.

A: Your hired Dotnet developers shall be available on Skype, email, phone, and if required a web conference.
Q: But what happens if I am not happy with the performance of my hired developer?
A: We look for any shortcomings on the developer’s end. If we find any then we replace the developer.
Q: And what happens if my assigned Dotnet developer takes a day off or goes off on a vacation or even quits?
A: In the case of day off or vacation we assign you an alternate developer with equivalent technical expertise. As for the quitting part, all our Dotnet developers are bound by a minimum commitment period and notice period. This ensures that we have enough time to carry out a proper project handover process and inform our clients about the change.
Q: I am a bit worried about my business data getting poached or misused. Do you have any measures in place to safeguard my project specifications?
A:We understand your concern over data security. Hence, we have watertight security measures in place. First of all, any kind of data or information generated over the development process belongs to you. As a result, the ownership of such data vests in you which means we as a company or our developers cannot sell, transfer, or use this data. Secondly, our Dotnet developers are bound by confidentiality contracts which bar them from disclosing your project details.
We have our development premises monitored 24×7 through CCTV cameras. Our developers are further not allowed to carry storage devices or mobile phones at their workstations. Any kind of mail going out of the enterprise is scanned and filtered for sensitive information.
Q: Do your Dotnet developers have any added advantage other than technical proficiency?
A: Of course. Our Dotnet developers have in-depth understanding of different business domains. As a result, during the development process they come up with suggestions and changes that can add value to your project. They are also good with soft skills. But most importantly, they align their development efforts to your end vision.
Q: There are other firms out there who are offering .Net developers for hire at cheaper rates. Then why should I go ahead with your company?
A: We do know that we have a highly competitive market. But we have never participated in a price war with our competitors. We believe that our clients are looking for quality and not just cost savings.
We have been into business for a decade now. This in and of itself speaks volumes about our quality standards and commitment levels. We have experience of successfully delivering 600+ projects. We have a 400+ international client base. We have an 85% client retention rate with 97% successful project delivery rate. Add to this track record our credentials and accreditations and we have a pretty good profile on our hands.

Q: You might have the expertise at your end for my project. But are you well equipped in infrastructure?
A: We have quite an enviable infrastructure setup that is laced with SMART workstations, 24×7 security, RAID 10 redundancy, and industry standard fire alarm and extinguisher system. We have CCTV cameras monitoring the premises. We have high speed internet connectivity and redundant communication lines supported by uninterrupted power supply. We have videoconferencing facility with Voice over IP system. We also maintain an intranet for project management and CRM for knowledge management. We also maintain off the site enterprise data backup taken every fortnight as part of our disaster recovery plan.
Q: Do I owe any bonus or performance appraisal increment to the hired .Net developers?
A: No you do not.
Q: What is the minimum and maximum number of .Net developers I can hire from you?
A: We do not impose any minimum or maximum restrictions on developer hiring. You can hire a single developer or even an entire team depending on your project requirements. It is entirely your call.
Q: Do I get to see some previous work done by the developers I intend to hire?
A:Yes, we can share URLs of the sites that our developers have worked on with a small brief about their involvement.
Q: If I intend to have an ODT setup with you, how quickly can you assemble a team for me?
A: The sooner you give us the details of your project requirements, your budget limits, and the duration of hiring, the faster we can assemble a team for you.
Q: What would be your team selection process? Can I participate in this process?
A:When assembling a team for you, we try to maintain a balance between experience and fresh talent. While the core activities of your project are assigned to the more experienced developers, the non-core activities are handed over to fresh talent. This results in cost optimization for you.
As for participation, you play a very instrumental role in team selection. We send you the resume of the potential team members shortlisted by us for review. You can interview these candidates via voice chat or web conference before finalizing them.
Q: I know my project is going to require long-term engagement. But I am still not sure about your technical skills and service levels. Can you arrange some sort of test run for me?
A: Yes we can. In fact, we have a test package of 40 hours which is a dummy version of the long-term engagement packages we have. Under this test package you get hands-on experience of all the activities involved in our longer packages. You can get a feel for our development processes, communication, and even reporting. Based on this you can decide if you would like to enter into a long-term engagement with us or not.
Q: But I am also worried about the implementation part. Would you guys be able to handle it from an offshore centre?
A: We are pretty confident on the implementation front. We have been doing it for 10 long years and are quite capable of handling any kind of implementation issues.
Q: And what about the source code produced by this team? Who will own it?
A: You will. Any kind of development work we do is merely on hiring basis. Thus, the ownership of any intellectual property produced during the process vests with you.
Q: If I wish to make a personal visit at your development centre can I do that?
A: Of course you can. You can visit our development facility before getting the development started or even midway. In fact, we encourage you to visit us and personally interact with your hired team. We consider such visits to be great morale boosters for our Dotnet developers.
Q: If midway through the development process I realize that I do not have the right size of team can I add or remove resources from the team?
A: Yes you can. We do not have watertight restrictions on team size. If you want to scale down or scale up your development process midway you can do that.
Q: What would be the terms and conditions of your contract?
A: We shall give you a neatly drafted copy of the contract with all the terms and conditions expressly mentioned. You can go through them in detail before signing the contract.
Q: You do allow contract renewal, right?
A: Yes, we do. You can renew the contract for additional one year through a written agreement and continue with your hired team.
Q: And what are the terms for contract termination?
A: You can terminate the contract anytime for any reason or without reason by issuing us a prior written notice of at least 30 days.
Q: Do you provide technical support and maintenance?
A: Yes we do provide technical support on request. We also offer application maintenance and application upgrade services from our end. If demanded by our clients, we also take on the role of technical consultants.
Q: Is testing and deployment included in the hiring agreement?
A: We include unit level testing (primary testing) and deployment in our development agreement. However, for more rigorous testing you would have to hire a dedicated tester with us.
Q: And how often will I be reported about the progress of my project?
A: This is again your call to make. You can dictate the reporting interval. You can have the team reporting to you on daily basis, weekly basis, or fortnightly basis.
Q: How much cost savings can you project for me if I outsource my development requirements to you?
A: Your cost savings may range between 30% and 60% depending on your engagement level. But upfront you can save on infrastructure, hiring and recruitment process, and payroll tax expenses.
